For most students who wish to join after-school programs like cheerleading or soccer, a sports physical may be required to ensure the youth can perform the activities required by the program or sport. In addition, anyone beginning a new sport, workout routine, or other exercise regimen, should get the all-clear from a medical provider first – in the form of a sports physical – to ensure they take whatever precautions might be necessary to avoid a sports injury.

Certain Department of Transportation (DOT) jobs require a physical to ensure the health and safety of the job applicants as well as others on the roads. A DOT physical follows strict guidelines by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and covers vision, hearing, and a drug screening, in addition to the physical exam.

Schools that require a physical may include universities or places of higher education.

We perform physicals that include a review of your child’s health history and any risks or activity requirements tied to scouting adventures. Of note in these physicals are the identification and management of allergies, proper immunizations, as well as medication management. We will provide the exam and complete the required paperwork so your child can enjoy a safe scouting experience.
